Day 7: Hoperation Tripel Cross

Hop bombs away! This beer is a fusion where old world brewing flavours meet new world hops.

The Story:
Hoperation Tripel Cross is inspired by the incredible brewing traditions (and flavours) of Belgian beers, and our unquenchable desire to play with hops.  Belgian Tripel's are strong Belgian pale ales, and although it is debated, the theory is that the name Tripel is derived from the three XXX's used to express the alcohol content--(and where we got our name Tripel Cross).  Hoperation is a strong pale ale that uses Belgian yeast, famous for imparting flavours of banana and clove, and buckets of Northwest American hops.  It's a cultural fusion that causes a flavour fission reaction!

Tasting Notes:

Pours a yellow straw colour with a pillowy white head.  A green apple nose with slight lemon accents.  Delicate Belgian banana flavour is balanced by big floral hops and mild black pepper spice. Finishes grapefruit bitter.

Availability:
Hoperation Tripel Cross is available in 650mL bottles semi-annually from spring to fall.
