Day 5: Zeus IPA

From the mighty towers of Brewbylon comes this fresh crop of hops, ready to put your dreadlock in a headlock.

The Story:
Zeus IPA is a proud member of our Grow Hop Series--an IPA series where the beer stays the same but a different hop is used in each release. It's the tastiest form education a beer lover could ask for and an opportunity to really taste the different hop varietals. The Zeus hop is an American varietal that, while genetically different, shares many characteristics of two other hops: Columbus and Tomohawk.  Often these hops are referred collectively as CTZ hops and impart citrusy and slightly piney characteristics to beer.

Tasting Notes:
Pours a yellow straw colour with a soft white head.  Aromas of pineapple and citrus on the nose with a crisp bitter flavour profile that's slightly sweet.

Availability:
Zeus is available as a rotating seasonal feature in the Hop Box mixed pack.

  5. The Zeus IPA is a good example of risks worth taking. The Zeus hop punches the palate with a clear hop taste. Followed by little to no bitterness, this beer is a true gem; sessionable and refreshing, without sacrificing taste.

This is a Phillip's beer that deserves some shelf time.
