Day 23: Cabin Fever Imperial Black IPA

Crafted for the crazy in all of us, Cabin Fever Imperial Black IPA is like a Super-Skookum, and brewed to celebrate the transition from Winter to Sping.

The Story:
Brewed to celebrate the changing season from the dark desolate days of winter to the new life-giving season of spring, Cabin Fever was first released on March 4th, 2013.  This brew is loaded with midnight roasted malt and pours a deep black colour paying homage to those dark days behind, while buckets of big floral hops infuse a mind-warping hop kick big enough to boot you out the door from your self-imposed exile.  Hibernation is over.

Tasting Notes:
Cabin Fever pours a rich black colour with a medium tan head. Aromas of fresh pine are balanced against a full roasted body, reinforced by a focused pine-bitter flavour that’s slightly floral and finishes dry.

Availability:
Cabin Fever is available seasonally, usually in late winter or early spring, in a 650mL bottle.

  1. Another early brew before my graveyard shift. This 'crazy' IPA offers a vivid combination of flavors both during consumption and equally resonate after taste. One word: Strength!
