The Story:
This Twisted Oak Rye Barrel aged Bock was the second seasonal release in our Twisted Oak Stillage Series; a series of barrel aged beers dedicated to exploring the wonderful flavour complexity of barrel aging finely crafted beer. Debuting in mid-July, this robust bock was brewed with generous portions of lightly-kilned rye, and spent its infancy cold-fermenting in stainless steel tanks before maturing in selected Canadian rye barrels from Hiram Walker in Ontario. Enjoy at cellar temperature.
Tasting Notes:
Pours a deep copper colour with a moderate white head. Aromas of vanilla and plum give way to a rich body, warmed with subtle whiskey flavours. Finishes sweet.

I loved this one! So sad that I can't get any more :(
ReplyDeleteI'm proud to have finally drank something with rye that didn't make me want to fight! LoL! Very sharp flavors yet easily drinkable.
